Description
The Wall-Smart New Construction mount is an in-wall adapter designed to accept a BLACK NOVA 1-module low-voltage keypad. It provides a flush installation that integrates with standard drywall construction. This unpainted adapter is intended to be finished as part of the wall surface after installation.
This mount supports new-construction installations and includes a depth calibration mechanism to ensure the keypad sits flush with the finished wall. It is sized for 1/2 in drywall and can be adapted to 5/8 in drywall using a shim pack P/N 10-01-067. The unit is supplied unpainted to allow seamless finishing with the surrounding wall materials.
Key technical attributes include a moisture-resistant MDF construction and compact dimensions of 163mm x 163mm x 44mm. The adapter is passive and requires no power supply or electronics. Weight is approximately 0.5 kg which keeps the assembly lightweight for standard framing and drywall support.
Compatibility is focused on BLACK NOVA 1-module low-voltage keypads (keypad not included). The mount is intended for drywall installations and there is a dedicated concrete adapter P/N 10-01-521 for masonry applications. The adapter configuration and depth calibration mechanism accommodate typical low-voltage keypad profiles.
Typical applications include residential and commercial AV control panels, dedicated keypad locations in home automation systems, and clean-wall installations in media rooms and control spaces. Installers will find the adapter suited to new-construction framing where a flush, finished appearance is required. The unpainted surface allows the installer or finishing contractor to match the wall finish precisely.
Installation is straightforward for tradespeople familiar with new-construction electrical and low-voltage rough-in work. The adapter mounts to framing and accepts standard drywall thicknesses with the option of a shim for thicker boards. Build quality targets reliable long-term mounting and a concealed finished appearance once painted and finished as part of the wall.
