Description
The ONErack 6RU Basic Kit is a universal powered rack mounting system designed to consolidate externally powered devices into a single rack-ready platform. It converts individually powered modules from any manufacturer into slide-in modules that install cleanly and service quickly. This kit ships with a 6RU chassis and six mounting modules to simplify deployment in professional AV environments.
Key features include selectable DC voltages, module-based mounting, and active cooling for high density installations. Each module can accept up to two voltage selectors and every selector supports seven preset voltages. The system supports voltages of 5V, 7.5V, 9V, 12V, 13.5V, 18V and 24V with up to 35 watts per selector.
The ONErack chassis provides flexible scalability and power distribution from a single power source. The basic 6RU kit includes six modules and can accept up to 16 modules total with additional rails. Optional power supplies include a standard 250W PSU or a dual-redundant 450W PSU to match deployment requirements. An active fan cooling system manages thermal loads for dense module populations.
Connectivity is designed for simplicity and serviceability. The system includes pass-through capability to enable custom powering arrangements and preserves manufacturer connectors on installed devices. Each slot can provide two different voltages simultaneously to support devices that require separate rails. Mounting is compatible with standard 19-inch rack rails and common AV enclosures.
Typical applications include small-format encoders, decoders, converters, splitters and accessories that require external DC power. ONErack reduces cable clutter and eliminates the need for multiple separate DC adapters while making maintenance faster and safer. It is suited for broadcast racks, control rooms, digital signage closets and equipment cages where mixed voltages are present.
Installation and maintenance are straightforward and tool-friendly. Slide-in modules and front-access voltage selectors speed service tasks and reduce rack downtime. The chassis construction and active cooling are built for continuous operation in professional AV environments and the modular architecture supports staged upgrades and PSU redundancy options.
