Description
The AT-HDR-CAT-2 is a two-output HDBaseT distribution amplifier that sends a single HDMI source to two displays while preserving 4K HDR image quality. It supports 4K/UHD at 60 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma sampling and multiple HDR formats. The unit is designed for reliable commercial AV distribution where long-distance signal extension is required.
The product provides HDBaseT outputs that extend audio, video, control, and power up to 130 ft for 4K HDR and up to 230 ft for 1080p over Category cable. It includes HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision support and features HDMI pass-through for a local monitor. Audio de-embedding supplies a balanced analog output with local volume control for integration with external audio systems.
Performance specifications include a 600 MHz pixel clock, support for 8-bit/10-bit/12-bit color depth, and chroma subsampling options of 4:4:4, 4:2:2, and 4:2:0. The unit is HDCP 2.2 compliant and manages EDID communications via a connected display or an internal EDID. HDBaseT outputs use visually lossless compression without perceptible latency to preserve HDR and 4K/60 4:4:4 signals.
Connectivity options cover one HDMI input, one HDMI pass-through output, and two HDBaseT RJ45 outputs. Control and system integration are supported via bidirectional RS-232, IR extension, CEC, and TCP/IP using the built-in web GUI. The AT-HDR-CAT-2 can remotely power compatible receivers over HDBaseT and is manageable through Atlona Velocity Device Manager or third-party control systems.
The AT-HDR-CAT-2 is suitable for hospitality, retail, corporate, and educational AV deployments that require long-distance distribution of high-quality video. Typical use cases include lobby signage, retail display loops, reception-area information screens, and classroom repeater displays. The device cascades up to eight units to expand a system while maintaining signal integrity.
Installation and operation are straightforward with a low-profile enclosure for under-table or furniture mounting and front-panel LEDs and buttons for power and EDID control. The unit includes surface-mount hardware and an external 48 VDC power supply. Built-in HDBaseT link testing and extensive control options make commissioning and troubleshooting faster for integrators.
