Description
The Atlona AT-HDR-CAT-4 is a 4-output HDBaseT distribution amplifier designed to distribute a single HDMI source to multiple displays while preserving HDR and 4K/60 4:4:4 video quality. It delivers extended AV signals and control over Category cable for installations that require long-distance signal delivery. The unit includes a local HDMI pass-through output and advanced integration features for commercial AV systems.
The HDR-CAT-4 supports HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision formats and maintains full 4K/UHD 4:4:4 chroma sampling at 60 Hz where supported. Each HDBaseT output carries video, multi-channel audio, RS-232, IR, Ethernet, and power for compatible receivers. The device also provides audio de-embedding to a balanced analog output with front-panel volume control for secondary audio systems.
Performance-wise the AT-HDR-CAT-4 accepts HDMI input and outputs up to four HDBaseT links with a 600 MHz pixel clock and HDCP 2.2 compliance. 4K HDR signals extend up to 130 ft (40 m) over CAT6a/7 and 1080p up to 230 ft (70 m) over CAT6a/7, enabling high-quality long-run installations. The unit supports 8-bit, 10-bit, and 12-bit color depth and chroma subsampling of 4:4:4, 4:2:2, and 4:2:0 for broad display compatibility.
Connectivity on the HDR-CAT-4 includes one HDMI input, one HDMI pass-through, four HDBaseT outputs, LAN, RS-232 and IR ports, and a balanced analog audio output. CEC display control is available on the HDMI pass-through and each HDBaseT receiver output using front-panel, IP, or RS-232 commands. The unit also offers HDBaseT link testing and remote power for compatible receivers to simplify commissioning.
The AT-HDR-CAT-4 is suited to hospitality, retail, corporate, and education AV deployments where distributed high-resolution HDR content is required. Typical uses include lobbies, digital signage networks, reception displays, and classroom repeater screens. Cascade capability allows expansion by linking up to eight units without compromising signal integrity.
Installation is straightforward using the 1U half-rack chassis, included surface and rack mounting hardware, and external 48 V power supply. An integrated web GUI and Velocity compatibility enable remote configuration and management, while front-panel LEDs provide status feedback for power, HDBaseT link, and HDMI signal. The HDR-CAT-4 combines manageable integration features and robust signal extension for professional AV deployments.
