Description
The AT-HDVS-RX is an HDMI HDBaseT receiver and scaler designed to terminate a single-category AV link and provide a scaled HDMI output plus balanced audio de-embedding. It accepts HDBaseT video and PoCc power from a compatible transmitter and supplies a clean HDMI signal to displays. Built-in display control and RS-232 connectivity enable remote management of connected displays and AV systems.
Key features include HDBaseT input, on-board scaling to 1080p and 1920×1200, balanced audio de-embedding on captive screw connectors, and HDCP management. The unit supports Display Auto On/Off and auto input switching when paired with Atlona HDVS transmitters. PoCc capability supplies power to the transmitter, reducing wall power requirements at the source side.
Performance specifications include a 6.75 Gbps video bandwidth and support for video resolutions up to 1080p and VESA formats up to 1920×1200. Audio passes through formats up to Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. HDBaseT link distances reach 230 ft (70 m) at 1080p over CAT6a/7 and 197 ft (60 m) at 1080p over CAT5e/6, with a 17.2 W power consumption at the receiver.
Connectivity comprises HDBaseT input, HDMI scaled output, balanced analog audio outputs on captive screw connectors, and RS-232 control including a supplied DB9 adapter. The receiver is compatible with any HDBaseT transmitter and integrates with Atlona switchers and matrix switchers to deliver different resolutions to diverse displays. HDCP management allows reliable operation with teleconference and protected-source workflows.
Typical use cases include small to mid-size conference rooms, classrooms, and distributed AV environments where a single-category cable run is preferred. The HDVS-RX enables a single matrix or distribution amplifier to feed displays with differing native resolutions, and it is useful when analog-to-digital bridging is required. Its audio de-embedding supports local sound systems and DSP inputs.
Installation is straightforward with wall-mountable hardware and compact dimensions that fit behind displays or in furniture. The unit includes software tools to simplify RS-232 programming and a DB9 adapter for control connections. Robust certifications and standard compliance ensure reliable operation in professional AV installations.
