Description
The AT-OCS-900N is a network-enabled ceiling-mounted occupancy sensor designed to integrate with AV automation systems. It uses passive infrared (PIR) detection to report presence and motion within a coverage area. The sensor also monitors ambient temperature and light level for system-aware automation and environmental reporting.
The unit transmits occupancy, temperature, and ambient light data over Ethernet using common protocols. Supported protocols include UDP, TCP, WebSocket, and MQTT for direct integration with Atlona products and third-party systems. It communicates natively with Atlona AT-WAVE-101 and Velocity control systems to enable automated display and AV component control based on room state.
Two field-of-view lenses are included to adapt coverage to ceiling height, providing approximately 900 sq ft or 2,000 sq ft coverage depending on mounting. A blinder insert is supplied to limit detection to 240 degrees when needed or allow full 360 degrees coverage. Configurable LEDs provide visual identification and activity feedback in the ceiling environment.
Connectivity and power are simplified with a single Power over Ethernet (PoE) connection that supplies both power and IP communication. The sensor uses spring-loaded clamps for secure, tool-free mounting to a standard ceiling tile. Networked outputs can be consumed by ventilation, lighting, or building management systems in addition to AV control platforms.
Typical applications include conference rooms, classrooms, lobbies, and retail displays where automated AV or lighting control is required. The sensor enables automatic system startup and shutdown based on occupancy and supports interactive signage triggers when motion is detected near displays. It is suitable for integration into both simple and complex AV automation workflows.
The AT-OCS-900N is designed for straightforward installation and reliable operation in commercial environments. The combination of PoE, IP protocols, configurable optics, and robust mounting makes it practical for integrated AV projects. A three-year limited product warranty provides ongoing support and peace of mind for deployment in managed facilities.
