Description
The Atlona AT-OME-EX-TX-WPC is an HDBaseT wallplate transmitter designed to extend HDMI video, audio, control and USB over a single category cable. It accepts a USB-C AV host input and forwards video up to 4K/60 4:2:0 together with embedded audio and USB 2.0 data. The unit is supplied in a US one-gang wallplate form factor with interchangeable black and white trim kits for discreet installation.
Key features include a USB-C host input for direct connection to modern laptops and mobile devices, HDBaseT transmission of video/audio/control/USB, and support for USB 2.0 peripheral extension. The transmitter supports HDCP 2.2 and HDMI 2.0 signaling and provides RS-232 pass-through for control. Remote powering over HDBaseT is supported when paired with compatible Atlona Omega Series receivers or switchers.
Performance specifications include support for 4K/UHD up to 4096×2160 at 60 Hz with 4:2:0 chroma subsampling, a 300 MHz TMDS clock, and HDMI data rates up to 10 Gbps. USB extension is provided at USB 2.0 speeds with a maximum data rate of 120 Mbps over HDBaseT. The transmitter consumes 11.18 W and provides a 2.5 W USB device interface when powered by the receiver.
Connectivity includes one USB Type-C host port, one USB Type-A device port for peripherals, one RJ45 HDBaseT output, and a 3-pin captive screw RS-232 port. The device is compatible with Mac, Chromebook and Windows systems that support USB-C AV, as well as many smartphones and tablets. It is intended to operate with Omega Series receivers and HDBaseT-enabled switchers and receivers that support HDCP 2.2.
Typical applications include presentation and conferencing rooms, lecterns and training facilities where a wallplate AV connection is required. It is well suited for software-based video conferencing systems that need USB peripheral access at the remote display location. The product supports multi-channel audio formats and passthrough of common Dolby and DTS codecs for AV system integration.
Installation is simplified by the US one-gang form factor and interchangeable faceplates that match room decor. Front-panel LEDs indicate power and HDBaseT link status to aid setup and troubleshooting. Field-updatable firmware and remote powering options reduce on-site maintenance and eliminate the need for local AC power when used with compatible receivers.
