Description
The Atlona AT-OME-MS42-HDBT is a 4×2 matrix switcher designed to manage AV, USB and control signals between multiple host devices and two displays. It consolidates HDMI, USB-C and HDBaseT inputs with HDMI and HDBaseT outputs to simplify room AV installations. This unit supports high-resolution video and integrated USB extension for conferencing peripherals.
The switcher provides USB-C AV, USB data and up to 60W device charging when powered locally, plus two HDMI inputs and an HDBaseT input for remote presenters. Outputs can be configured as mirrored or matrixed, and the unit supports USB 2.0 hub functionality for cameras, speakerphones and peripherals. Automatic input selection and USB host switching reduce user steps and speed workflow setup.
Performance includes 4K/UHD up to 60 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma on local ports and 4K/60 4:2:0 over HDBaseT, HDR10, Dolby Vision and HLG compatibility, plus selectable 4K downscaling to 1080p @60/30/24 Hz. The local HDMI and USB-C ports support up to 18 Gbps video rates and the integrated hub supports USB 2.0 at 480 Mbps. Over HDBaseT the USB extension supports up to 120 Mbps and video extension distances up to 330 ft (100 m) with CAT6/6a/7 cable.
Connectivity includes USB-C host, two USB type B host ports, two USB type A peripheral ports, two HDMI inputs, one HDMI output, one HDBaseT input and one HDBaseT output, plus balanced analog audio output. Control options include TCP/IP, RS-232, CEC and a web GUI plus Velocity Device Manager for centralized management. The device also offers EDID and HDCP 2.2 management and integrated HDBaseT link diagnostics to simplify installations.
This matrix switcher is aimed at meeting rooms, conference rooms, lecture halls and other collaboration spaces that require local and remote AV input plus USB peripheral extension. It supports conferencing platforms by enabling local and remote USB devices to be routed to host PCs and codecs. The selectable AV/USB switching, auto-detect features and display control improve presenter experience and reduce operator intervention.
The OME-MS42-HDBT ships in a 1U half-rack width enclosure with surface mounting hardware and rack ears for flexible installation. It is locally powered by the included AT-PS-245-D4 power supply and supports IEEE 802.3af PoE over HDBaseT; remote powering via PoE+ is also supported from compatible Omega receivers. Firmware is field-updatable via the web GUI or Velocity Device Manager and front-panel controls and LEDs provide quick status and selection feedback.
