Description
The AT-UHD-EX-100CE-TX is an HDBaseT transmitter designed to extend HDMI video and multi-channel audio over a single category cable. It transmits 4K/UHD video up to 100 meters using CAT6a/7 and supports embedded audio formats and HDCP 2.2. The unit provides Ethernet pass-through and bi-directional control for system integration.
This transmitter delivers 4K/UHD at up to 60Hz where supported and HDR10 at 24Hz in 4:2:0 10-bit where specified. It supports multi-channel audio formats including Dolby and DTS families and carries control signals such as RS-232 and IR over the HDBaseT link. Power over Ethernet is provided as PSE when paired with compatible receivers.
Performance highlights include 10.2 Gbps bandwidth and support for chroma subsampling modes 4:4:4, 4:2:2 and 4:2:0 plus color depths up to 12-bit. The transmitter is HDCP 2.2 compliant and supports EDID communication to maintain protected content streams. Distance performance varies by cable type with up to 100 meters at 4K on CAT6a/7 and up to 100 meters at 1080p on CAT5e/6.
Connectivity includes HDMI Type A input, HDBaseT RJ45 output, LAN RJ45 pass-through, RS-232 3-pin captive screw, and a 4-pin IR port. A front USB Mini-B port allows field firmware updates and front panel LEDs indicate power and HDBaseT link status. The unit operates as a PSE device and accepts a 48V DC power supply for powering compatible receivers.
Typical applications include corporate AV, higher-education lecture halls, digital signage and meeting rooms where long cable runs and centralized signal distribution are required. The transmitter integrates with Atlona switchers and HDBaseT-enabled displays and receivers to simplify AV and control signal routing. It supports professional audio formats and is suitable for systems requiring protected content distribution.
Installation is simplified by the low-profile quarter rack width metal enclosure and rear panel I/O for clean cable management. Front LEDs and an accessible USB update port aid setup and maintenance while power chaining options reduce rack clutter. The product is backed by a long limited warranty for commercial deployments and is certified by the HDBaseT Alliance.
