Description
The AV-XMN4 is a compact Dante audio interface that converts four XLR microphone inputs to Dante network channels. It provides professional mic preamplifiers, switch-selectable gain ranges, and P48 phantom power on each input. The unit is engineered for continuous duty in demanding stage and studio environments.
Each XLR input offers three front-panel selectable gain settings to accommodate dynamic and condenser microphones. Dual-LED VU metering on the front panel helps set optimal gain and monitor levels. High-resolution 24-bit analog-to-digital conversion preserves audio fidelity and low-noise performance.
Supported sample rates include 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz (default), 88.2 kHz and 96 kHz to fit a variety of production workflows. Measured performance includes low equivalent input noise and THD+N well below 0.1% across the audio band. Crosstalk is below the noise floor at operating level, and common-mode rejection exceeds 65 dB in the low-frequency band.
The AV-XMN4 connects to a Dante network via a Neutrik etherCON RJ45 connector and operates at 100 Mbps. It supports PoE Class 0 (IEEE 802.3af) or an external 24 Vdc @ 500 mA supply and will seamlessly switch power sources during loss of one feed. Front-panel sync and rear-panel Ethernet link indicators provide clear operational status.
This interface is well suited for live sound, broadcast patching, and distributed audio installations where local mic inputs must be placed onto a Dante network. Use it to add four studio-grade mic channels to a consoleless networked audio system or to provide remote mic inputs at a stage riser. It integrates cleanly with Dante-enabled mixers, recorders, and processors.
The AV-XMN4 is housed in a durable all-metal chassis with front-panel switch protection and included mounting brackets for fixed installations. Setup requires no special software and installation is straightforward via standard Dante configuration tools when needed. The combination of rugged construction, flexible powering, and studio-quality preamps makes the unit a reliable choice for professional AV deployments.
