Description
The Bridge NDI 3G Converter is a rackmount encoder/decoder that bridges 3G-SDI and NDI networks in a single 1U unit. It provides bidirectional conversion between SDI and NDI streams and supports HD and DCI/UHD 4K workflows. The unit is designed for broadcast, live events, and AV-over-IP installations where high channel density and low-latency conversion are required.
Encoding and decoding operate simultaneously, enabling SDI to NDI and NDI to SDI conversion at the same time. The converter supports up to 16x 3G-SDI channels and can group channels for dual V+K or quad 4K modes. Supported video formats include 1080p up to 60p and DCI/UHD 4K up to 60p in selectable square division or 2SI modes.
Video processing supports 4:2:2 YCbCr at 10-bit for SDI and offers NDI output options of UYVY 8-bit or P216 16-bit 4:2:2 encoding. Audio is passed as embedded channels over SDI and NDI with support for 2, 8, or 16 channels of embedded audio. The device uses dual 10 GigE ports for NDI transport and supports both NDI and NDI|HX inputs.
Connectivity includes 16x BNC 3G-SDI I/O, dual 10GigE RJ45 ports for NDI, and a VGA monitor output for confidence monitoring. Remote and local control are available via the intuitive UI over the network or locally using a mouse keyboard and monitor. Redundant dual IEC C14 power inputs provide reliable power feeds for studio environments.
The Bridge NDI 3G fits into broadcast and production workflows for live sports, eSports, corporate events and security systems. It can act as a gateway between SDI facilities and IP-based NDI areas, and supports multi-channel encoding for centralized distribution or multi-view contributions. The device is rack mountable in a standard 1U form factor and integrates with SMPTE 292M/424M infrastructures.
Installation is straightforward and configured via the graphical UI accessible locally or remotely. Confidence monitoring is available via the VGA and BNC outputs to verify signal integrity on site. The unit is built to professional standards with CE FCC and ICES-3(A) certifications and is suitable for continuous studio operation.
