Description
The CI20X is a 6.5 in 2-way in-wall speaker designed to deliver balanced full-range audio for residential and commercial installations. It provides clear midrange and controlled bass from a woven glass-fiber woofer and detailed highs from a variable axis soft-dome tweeter. The grille uses a low-profile micro-flange that can be painted to match room finishes.
The speaker features a 1 in variable axis soft-dome tweeter that can be pivoted to direct high frequencies toward the listening area. The 6.5 in patented synthetic woven glass-fiber woofer uses an NBR surround to maintain cone control and reduce distortion. The crossover is a 2-way Absolute Phase design optimized for coherent driver integration.
Frequency response is rated at 48 Hz – 20 kHz within +/-3 dB and sensitivity is 91 dB at 1 W/1 M. Nominal impedance is 8 Ohm and recommended amplifier power is 10 – 120 W. These specifications support both background music and dynamic program material when paired with appropriate amplification.
Connectivity is standard passive speaker wiring compatible with most AV receivers and amplifiers. The CI20X is suitable for left/right/center and surround channels in multi-channel systems and also integrates into whole-house audio systems. No specialized connectors or external electronics are required for typical installations.
Typical applications include in-wall home theater front and surround channels, distributed residential audio in living spaces, and low-profile installations in commercial listening areas. The pivoting tweeter and wide frequency response help achieve consistent coverage in listening zones. The paintable grille helps maintain a discreet visual presentation.
The CI20X installs into standard framed walls and requires a 11.375 in H x 7.375 in W cutout and 3.5 in mounting depth. The grille is white powder-coated galvanized steel and is paintable for seamless integration. An optional pre-construction bracket (RB-23) is available to simplify rough-in and protect the speaker during construction.
