Description
The CP-AOCH/PF-262 is a 4K HDMI active optical cable engineered to deliver high-bandwidth video and audio over long runs while meeting plenum safety requirements. It is a pure fiber active optical cable (AOC) built for environments that require EMI immunity and durable cable construction. The cable supports HDMI signal management including EDID and HDCP to preserve source-to-display handshakes.
Key features include support for up to 4K@60 4:4:4 video, an 18 Gbps data rate, and plenum-rated jacket construction. The cable employs 8xMM fiber OM3 construction inside a 4.0mm plenum-rated jacket for efficient optical transmission. Connectors are 24K gold-plated HDMI Type A at both ends plus a K-Lock on the display end for pull resistance.
Performance specifications include support for native 3840×2160 and 4096×2160 resolutions at 60Hz 4:4:4 chroma, deep color and x.v.Color, and multi-channel lossless audio formats. The active optical design maintains signal integrity over long distances and supports runs up to 100 meters in fiber terms. The cable draws power from the video source and can accept external USB-A power for displays that require it.
Connectivity options are straightforward: Male HDMI Type A at both source and display ends, a USB-A pigtail for optional external power, and a plenum-rated 4.0mm jacket for building infrastructure compliance. The integrated K-Lock connector provides up to 15 lbs of restraining force to reduce accidental disconnects. The cable is plug-and-play and supports standard HDMI EDID and HDCP protocols for broad display compatibility.
Typical applications include long-run AV distribution in theaters, lecture halls, digital signage, medical rooms, and facilities with strict EMI or plenum requirements. The cable is suitable for connecting media players, PCs, switchers, and displays where long fiber runs and plenum compliance are required. Its construction is designed to withstand pulling, compression, and repeated installations.
Installation is simplified by a thin 4.0mm cable profile, integrated strain relief, and ruggedized connector covers that protect fiber terminations during handling. The cable includes stainless steel corrugated tube and Kevlar reinforcement to protect internal fibers and a TPU jacket for abrasion resistance. The spool-dispensed packaging supports neat deployment and retrieval in professional installations.
