Description
The D-RC4ST is a wall-box mounted 4-channel remote control designed to operate an RDL ST-SX4 audio switcher. This remote provides single-button selection of one of four unbalanced audio sources and displays the active source using front-panel LEDs. The module is intended for clean, discrete installation in a standard US electrical box.
Four momentary pushbuttons give immediate source selection and four red LEDs indicate the currently selected channel. On power-up the unit defaults to source 1 and touching any other button deselects source 1 and selects the chosen source. The controls provide unambiguous local feedback for end users and operators.
Control wiring is simple – the D-RC4ST interfaces to the ST-SX4 using a 3-conductor cable or a single shielded pair to the POWER and CTRL terminals. The remote requires a ground-referenced 24 Vdc supply to the associated ST-SX4 system. For stereo applications the ST-SX4 SLAVE output can drive the CTRL input of a second ST-SX4 to maintain synchronized selection.
Physical installation mounts in a standard US electrical box and is compatible with RDL WB- and SMB-series mounting boxes; an optional cover plate is available separately. The front panel presents a professional aesthetic and is suitable for installed AV environments where a clean wall-mounted control is required. The remote ships in a compact cardboard box sized 3.625 x 4.625 x 2.125 in.
The D-RC4ST is optimized for applications that require remote source selection and clear visual feedback – meeting the needs of conference rooms, lecture halls, and distributed audio zones. Its simple pushbutton interface minimizes operator training and speeds source changes. The module is engineered to integrate seamlessly into existing RDL ST-SX4 installations.
RDL builds the D-RC4ST for reliability in typical indoor AV environments and the unit is specified to operate within standard ambient ranges. LED indicators provide long-life visual status and the pushbuttons are momentary type for repeatable mechanical action. The product provides a compact, dependable control interface for professional audio switcher deployments.
