The control features long-life pushbuttons for selecting Music or Local inputs and an optical rotary encoder for setting audio level. Technically, the unit provides analog source selection for microphone and line-level audio and local music source selection. The rotary encoder controls the room audio level and the LED pointer indicates the setpoint. Connectivity is optimized for in-room control and integrates with the RCX-5C room combiner architecture. The D-RCX2 mounts in an RDL WB-1U wall box and connects to system control wiring provided by the combiner system. It does not provide signal routing itself but provides clear user control over source selection and level.
