Description
The D-RLC2 is a remote level controller that provides local control and visual indication of audio level changes. It connects to RDL control modules to send UP and DOWN commands and displays level on a 10-segment indicator. The unit is designed for use where single or multiple local control locations are required and where a compact wall-mount panel is preferred.
Key features include two momentary pushbuttons labeled UP and DOWN and a 10-segment visual level display that reflects the current ramp level. The D-RLC2 sends control signals to compatible RDL modules such as the ST-RG1 Ramp Generator and the RU-VCA2A audio attenuator. Simultaneous pressing of both buttons when connected to RU-VCA2A returns the level to the preset value.
Technically, the D-RLC2 accepts a ramp input of 0 to 10 Vdc and provides UP and DOWN outputs via pushbutton contacts. The module is ground-referenced and requires 24 Vdc at 75 mA for power. The ambient operating environment is specified as 0C C to 55c C and the panel dimensions are compact for wall-box mounting.
Connectivity is via a detachable terminal block that carries the ramp input and the pushbutton output signals. The unit directly interfaces to RDL STICK-ON and RACK-UP series control modules for seamless integration. The removable connector and standard US electrical box mounting make it compatible with existing installation practices.
Typical applications include multi-point level control in broadcast racks, distributed audio zones requiring local override, and control-room panels where visual level indication is necessary. The D-RLC2 is suited to installations that require coordinated control from more than one location while maintaining a clear local indication of level. It is appropriate for both permanent installations and retrofit upgrades.
Installation is straightforward, mounting into a standard US electrical box using RDL WB- or SMB- series boxes if preferred. The remote panel provides a professional aesthetic and durable front-panel construction for repeated use. The detachable terminal block simplifies wiring and serviceability in the field.
