The D-SFRC8L is an in-wall SourceFlex audio selector module that provides local source selection for a single room. It is designed to select any of eight line-level audio sources and present a clean line-level output to an external amplifier. The front panel includes a numeric LED display to indicate the currently selected source.
The unit features a momentary pushbutton selector for cycling through up to eight sources and a seven-segment red LED that shows 0 for paging or off and 1 through 8 for the selected channel. Two rear-panel line outputs are provided – a balanced +4 dBu output and an unbalanced -10 dBV output – enabling connection to pro amplifiers or consumer AV gear. Wiring is terminated on a detachable 10-position terminal block for straightforward field connections.
Audio performance is engineered for distributed sound systems with a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz at ±0.1 dB and THD+N below 0.1% across the audio band. The noise floor is specified at better than -85 dB referenced to +4 dBu, supporting quiet background-music distribution and clear paging. The module is powered by 24 Vdc at 30 mA supplied from the SourceFlex controller to maintain centralized power and control.
Connectivity includes the 10-position detachable terminal block for inputs and separate balanced and unbalanced line outputs on the rear panel. The D-SFRC8L is intended for mounting in a US single-gang electrical box or the RDL WB-1U accessory and is compatible with other RDL wall plates and controls. Control signaling is DC between the remote listening station and the controller and supports DISPLAY RAMP and CONTROL conductors.
Typical applications include office distributed audio systems for background music distribution and paging integration where local source selection is required. The numeric display and momentary selector simplify user interaction, and the dual output levels support both commercial and consumer downstream equipment.
