Description
The DC-2G is a double Decora-style chassis designed to house one or two Decora-format remote controls or connector plates. It serves as a compact desktop or wall-mounted enclosure that provides a neat, secured installation for control panels. The chassis is finished in gray to match RDL stainless steel controls and plates.
The chassis includes a mounting plate that enables installation on a tabletop or a vertical surface such as a cabinet or wall. The mounting plate secures to the surface, and the chassis then slides into a locked position and is fixed in place using screws. This two-step mounting method ensures the enclosure remains stable during everyday use.
Construction is welded steel for rigid mechanical protection and long-term durability. The exterior receives a high quality powder coat finish that resists wear and corrosion in typical AV environments. Model suffixes designate color options: W for white, B for black, and G for gray.
Compatibility covers Decora-style modules including RDL remote controls and connector plates, accommodating common Decora-form factor devices. The chassis accepts either a single module or a dual module configuration depending on the model and installation choice. It provides a clean mechanical interface for panel-mounted connectors and controls in AV systems.
Typical applications include conference room control panels, equipment racks with desktop control assemblies, and cabinetry-mounted remote panels in installed AV systems. Integrators can use the chassis where a low-profile, finished enclosure is required to present user controls. The chassis is useful in both new installations and retrofit scenarios where Decora panels are required.
Installation is straightforward using the included mounting plate and standard fasteners – the plate mounts first then the chassis slides and secures with screws. The welded steel body and powder coat finish ensure the chassis stands up to regular use and installation handling. The overall design focuses on secure mounting, compatibility with Decora modules, and long-term mechanical reliability.
