Description
The EVF-1122D/126-FG is an arrayable 12 in point-source loudspeaker designed for high-fidelity sound reinforcement in exposed indoor and outdoor installations. It combines a 12 in low-frequency driver and a 3 in titanium compression driver on a 120 x 60 constant directivity horn to deliver focused coverage. The enclosure is fiberglass-coated for long-term weather resistance and durability.
Key features include a DH7N 3 in titanium compression driver, a DVX3121A 12 in FEA-optimized woofer, and a rotatable constant-directivity horn to align dispersion to venue geometry. The integrated crossover uses steep 24 dB/octave slopes and includes equalization to smooth vocal-range response and protect the HF driver. A dynamic protection circuit provides independent thermal protection for both drivers to enhance reliability.
Performance specifications include a very linear response from 49 Hz to 21 kHz with maximum deviation of +/-2 dB, a calculated maximum SPL of 131 dB, and system power handling rated at 600 W continuous and 2400 W peak. The acoustic crossover is set at 1,300 Hz and the recommended high-pass is 65 Hz. Nominal impedance is 8 ohms and the minimum impedance is 6 ohms.
Connectivity is handled via dual four-pin 10 AWG Phoenix/EuroBlock screw-terminals on an input panel that accepts optional NL4-type covers or gland-nut covers for weatherized installations. An externally accessible jumper selects passive or active operation, and an optional 70.7/100 V transformer kit can be mounted to the input panel for distributed systems. The unit ships with a CDG dual-gland-nut input panel cover for weatherizing.
The EVF-1122D/126-FG is suitable for fixed-install applications including outdoor plazas, theme parks, stadium concourses, and architectural venues that require direct-exposure rated loudspeakers. Its arrayable trapezoidal enclosure allows vertical and horizontal arrays to be built with other EVF/EVH series models to tailor coverage. Stainless steel fasteners and grille materials tolerate corrosive environments including salt-laden air.
Installation and serviceability are simplified by multiple M10 suspension points and an enclosure built from 13-ply weather-resistant birch with a fiberglass finish. The front is protected by an 18 GA stainless-steel grille with hydrophobic cloth and the unit meets IEC 60529 IP55 environmental rating. These design choices make the loudspeaker straightforward to mount, aim, and maintain in challenging conditions.
