Description
The EVF-1122D/96 is a compact two-way point-source loudspeaker designed to deliver clear, intelligible sound in medium-throw venues. It combines a 12in low-frequency transducer and a 3in titanium compression driver on a rotatable 90 x 60 constant-directivity waveguide. The enclosure is built from weather-resistant birch and finished with EVCoat for added environmental protection.
Key features include a FEA-optimized 12in woofer and a DH7N 3in titanium compression driver with a 1.4in throat. The system uses a 4th-order 24 dB/octave passive crossover set at 1300 Hz and includes a dynamic protection circuit for long-term reliability. The waveguide is rotatable to allow either horizontal or vertical coverage orientation.
Performance spans a very linear frequency range from 49 Hz to 21 kHz (-10 dB) and a nominal response of 57 Hz to 18 kHz (-3 dB). Sensitivity is 97 dB (1 W/1 m) and calculated maximum SPL is 131 dB. Power handling is rated 600 W continuous, 1200 W program, and 2400 W peak.
Connectivity is provided via a Euroblock phoenix-style input panel capable of accepting up to 10 AWG, with options for dual NL4 gland-nut or weatherized covers on PI and FG versions. An externally accessible jumper allows quick selection between passive and bi-amp (active) operation. An optional transformer kit enables 70.7/100 V distributed use.
The EVF-1122D/96 is suitable for a range of fixed-install applications including houses of worship, theaters, sports halls, and corporate auditoria. Its rotatable horn and arrayable trapezoidal enclosure allow flexible cluster configurations using other EVF/EVH series cabinets. The grille and fasteners are specified to resist outdoor and coastal environments when appropriate versions are selected.
Installation is simplified by 22 M10 suspension points and included eyebolts kit for basic rigging. The cabinet is 13-ply birch plywood with white textured paint and is available with optional flying hardware. Environmental ratings are IP44 for standard versions and IP55 for PI/FG versions, supporting installations in demanding indoor and semi-outdoor conditions.
