Description
The EVF-1152D/43 is a high-power, two-way point-source loudspeaker designed to deliver focused long-throw coverage and high intelligibility. It combines a 15in low-frequency transducer and a 3in titanium compression driver mounted on a rotatable 40 x 30 degree waveguide. The cabinet is compact and weather-protected to suit a range of fixed-install environments.
Key features include the FEA-optimized 15in DVX3151A woofer and DH7N 3in compression driver for efficient output and low distortion. The integrated acoustic crossover at 1300 Hz uses 24 dB/octave slopes and HF protection to preserve clarity at high SPL. An externally accessible switch allows selection of passive or bi-amp operation to match system design preferences.
Performance specifications show very linear response across the vocal range with a frequency span extending toward 21 kHz and strong low-frequency extension. Sensitivity measures high at 100 dB (1 W/1 m) and calculated max SPL reaches 134 dB. The system handles 600 W continuous, 1200 W program, and 2400 W peak, with dynamic thermal protection for both transducers.
Connectivity is handled via a Euroblock Phoenix-style input panel that accepts up to 10 AWG; PI and FG variants provide dual-gland-nut covers for weatherized installations. Options include adding NL4 connectors or mounting a 70.7/100 V transformer kit for distributed systems. The cabinet supports both horizontal and vertical arrays across the EVF and EVH series.
Typical applications include fixed installs in houses of worship, auditoriums, stadia sidelines, and outdoor PA where long-throw coverage and pattern control are required. The rotatable constant-directivity waveguide allows accurate coverage aiming while reducing spill to adjacent areas. Arrayable rigging and multiple horn patterns enable scalable system designs with fewer cabinet types.
Installation and build quality emphasize durability and serviceability – the trapezoidal enclosure is 13-ply birch plywood finished in EVCoat for weather resistance and painted black. Twenty-two M10 suspension points and an included EBK-M10-EVI four-eyebolt kit provide secure flying options, while the galvanneal or stainless steel grille options protect the transducers. This speaker balances acoustic performance with rugged construction and installation flexibility.
