Description
The EVF-1152D/43-FGB is a weatherized 15 in point-source two-way loudspeaker engineered for long-throw and arrayable deployment. It combines a high-output compression driver and a large low-frequency transducer in a compact trapezoidal enclosure. The design focuses on intelligible vocal reproduction and consistent coverage in exposed outdoor environments.
Key features include a rotatable 40 x 30 coverage waveguide, a 3 in titanium compression driver, and a large-format low-frequency transducer developed with FEA optimization. The internal crossover uses steep 24 dB/octave slopes with equalization and a built-in dynamic protection circuit to maintain reliability at high SPL. The enclosure and rigging options support vertical and horizontal arrays for scalable systems.
Performance is delivered across a wide frequency spectrum with measured response extending into the lower midrange and high frequencies suitable for speech and music. The system power handling is specified at 600 W continuous and 2400 W peak. Calculated maximum SPL is 131 dB at 1 m and the internal acoustic crossover is set at 1300 Hz for seamless HF/LF integration.
Connectivity is handled through a Phoenix-style input panel that accepts up to 10 AWG and includes options for dual NL4 gland-nut covers for weatherized installations. An externally accessible jumper selects passive or active operation and a transformer kit can be fitted for 70.7/100 V distributed systems. Suspension and flying hardware options allow secure installation using multiple M10 threaded points.
The EVF-1152D/43-FGB is suited to fixed installs such as outdoor arenas, facades, and permanent PA systems where direct exposure to sun, rain, fog, or snow is possible. It supports array building with other EVF and EVH series models and offers selectable coverage patterns to match venue requirements. The robust weatherized finish and stainless steel fasteners ensure long-term performance in corrosive conditions.
Installation is simplified by the compact trapezoidal enclosure, multiple suspension points, and an easy external operation mode switch. The 13-ply birch plywood cabinet is finished in fiberglass coating and protected by a powder-coated stainless steel grille backed with acoustic foam. These construction details provide durable operation and straightforward serviceability for installed sound professionals.
