Description
The EVF-1152D/43 is a compact two-way point-source loudspeaker engineered for long-throw speech and music reinforcement. It features a rotatable 40 x 30 constant-directivity waveguide that preserves coverage when arrayed vertically or horizontally. The enclosure is weather-protected with EVCoat and finished in white for installed applications.
Key components include a DH7N 3 inch titanium compression driver and a FEA-optimized 15 inch DVX3151A woofer that deliver high output and low distortion. The acoustic design uses a 40 x 30 rotatable horn that provides controlled directivity and consistent off-axis response. An integrated 4th-order passive crossover with 24 dB/octave slopes and HF protection ensures smooth vocal clarity.
Performance highlights include a very linear frequency response that extends from the low 40 Hz region up to 21 kHz and a calculated maximum SPL of 134 dB at 1 m. Continuous/program/peak power handling is rated at 600 W / 1200 W / 2400 W. Nominal impedance is 8 ohms and sensitivity is 100 dB at 1 W/1 m for efficient operation.
Connectivity is provided via a Phoenix-style euroblock input panel that accepts up to 10 AWG and an externally accessible jumper for passive or active operation. Optional input covers offer dual NL4-style connectors or gland-nut covers for weatherized installations. A 70.7/100 V transformer kit is available for distributed systems.
The EVF-1152D/43 is designed for fixed installations such as houses of worship, theatres, stadia sidelines, and long-throw public address systems where precise coverage and reduced inventory are priorities. Its rotatable horn and compatible rigging allow mixed arrays using other EVF and EVH series loudspeakers. The trapezoidal enclosure supports both flown and ground-stacked deployments.
Installation and durability are addressed with a 13-ply weather-resistant birch enclosure, EVCoat protective finish, a galvanneal grille with hydrophobic cloth, and 22 M10 threaded suspension points. External controls for mode selection and rugged input hardware simplify commissioning and maintenance. The overall package balances mechanical protection and acoustic performance for demanding installed environments.
