Description
The EVF-1152D/64 is a two-way, arrayable point-source loudspeaker engineered to deliver long-throw, high-intelligibility sound in a compact enclosure. It combines a 15in low-frequency transducer and a 3in titanium compression driver mounted on a rotatable 60 x 40 constant-directivity waveguide to maintain controlled coverage. The enclosure is weather-resistant and available in a black textured finish to suit fixed-install and outdoor environments.
Key features include a DH7N 3in high-output compression driver, a FEA-optimized DVX3151A 15in woofer, and an integrated crossover with a 1,300 Hz acoustic crossover point. The crossover uses steep 24 dB/octave slopes and incorporates dynamic protection to safeguard both HF and LF sections under thermal stress. The rotatable waveguide allows orientation changes without altering the cabinet or driver alignment.
Performance is specified with a measured frequency response that maintains linearity across the important vocal band, and system SPL capability rated to 134 dB (calculated, 1 m). Nominal passive impedance is 8 ohms and system power handling is listed as 600 W continuous, 1,200 W program, and 2,400 W peak. Recommended high-pass filtering begins at 45 Hz and the loudspeaker retains useful output down into the low frequencies for full-range reinforcement.
Connectivity and control are provided via a Phoenix-style Euroblock input panel, with options for dual NL4 gland-nut covers or weatherized gland-nut panels for increased ingress protection. An externally accessible jumper selects between passive and bi-amp (active) operation, allowing flexible system architectures. An optional 70.7/100 V transformer kit can be fitted to address distributed-line installations and extended venue requirements.
The EVF-1152D/64 is suited to installations where consistent long-throw coverage and arrayability are required – such as auditoriums, stadia sidelines, and outdoor performance areas. The rotatable 60 x 40 pattern and ability to mix cabinets across the EVF and EVH series let system designers tailor coverage without adding different enclosures. The system supports flown or ground-stacked configurations and integrates with subwoofers and low-frequency extensions for larger arrays.
Installation is simplified by a trapezoidal 13-ply birch enclosure, multiple M10 rigging points, and an included kit of eyebolts for initial installation. The weather-resistant EVCoat finish, galvanneal grille with hydrophobic screening, and stainless steel fasteners increase durability in exposed environments. Mode selection, input termination, and optional transformer installation are externally accessible to speed on-site configuration and service.
