Description
The EVF-1152D/64-FGB is a fully weatherized two-way loudspeaker designed for high-output sound reinforcement in exposed environments. It combines a large low-frequency transducer and a high-output compression driver to deliver clear speech and musical reproduction at long throw distances. The rotatable constant-directivity waveguide provides controlled coverage and predictable off-axis response.
Key features include a 15 in low-frequency driver developed with FEA optimization and a 3 in titanium diaphragm compression driver. The rotatable 60 x 40 constant-directivity horn provides selectable coverage and maintains consistent tonal balance across the listening area. The internal crossover uses steep 24 dB/octave slopes plus HF protection and equalization to improve vocal clarity.
Performance specifications support a wide usable bandwidth and high SPL capability. The system reports very linear response with a specified range to 21 kHz and a quoted maximum calculated SPL of 131 dB. Continuous power handling is specified at 600 W with peak handling up to 2400 W and an acoustic crossover near 1300 Hz.
Connectivity is handled through a Phoenix-style dual four-pin 10 AWG input panel with an externally accessible mode-select jumper for passive or bi-amp operation. The input panel accepts optional NL4-type or gland-nut covers for weatherized installations, and an optional 70.7/100 V transformer kit can be mounted for distributed systems. The enclosure and connectors meet an IEC 60529 IP55 rating for outdoor exposure.
Typical deployment scenarios include fixed outdoor installations, covered arenas, and long-throw mid/large venue stacks where weather resistance and predictable coverage are required. The combination of controlled waveguide, FEA-optimized LF transducer, and high-output driver supports intelligible vocal reproduction and music reinforcement. The rotatable horn simplifies orientation for either horizontal or vertical arrays.
The enclosure is a trapezoidal 13-ply birch cabinet finished with a fiberglass coating and a stainless steel grille backed with acoustic foam for element protection. Multiple M10 suspension points and optional flying hardware allow durable rigging and flown arrays. Robust stainless steel fasteners and hydrophobic grille cloth extend service life in marine or coastal environments.
