Description
The EVF-1152D/66-FGB is a fully weatherized, arrayable 15 in two-way loudspeaker designed to deliver focused mid-far field coverage. It integrates a 15 in FEA-optimized woofer and a 3 in titanium compression driver mounted to a rotatable 60 x 60 constant-directivity horn. The enclosure is fiberglass-coated over weather-resistant plywood for continuous outdoor exposure and durability.
Key features include a rotatable 60 x 60 waveguide, a high-output DH7N 3 in titanium compression driver, and the DVX3151A 15 in low-frequency transducer developed with FEA for reduced distortion. The integrated fourth-order crossover at 1300 Hz provides 24 dB/octave slopes and dedicated HF protection, while a dynamic protection circuit guards both drivers against thermal overload.
Performance metrics show a wide usable bandwidth and high sensitivity, supporting clear speech and program material. Measured half-space response is 107 Hz to 18 kHz (-3 dB) and a broader range of 58 Hz to 21 kHz (-10 dB). The system achieves an axial sensitivity of 100 dB (1 W/1 m) and a calculated peak output capability up to 134 dB, with robust power handling for both LF and HF sections.
Connectivity and system integration are straightforward with dual four-pin 10 AWG Phoenix/Euro Block screw-terminals and an included CDG dual-gland-nut input panel cover for weatherized installations. An external jumper selects passive or bi-amp active operation, and an optional 70.7/100 V transformer kit can be mounted to the input panel for distributed systems. Suspension and rigging use (22) M10 threaded points for array and flown configurations.
Typical applications include outdoor venues, fixed-install public address, houses of worship, and performance spaces requiring mid-far coverage and weather resistance. The powder-coated stainless grille and hydrophobic backing protect the acoustic path, while the fiberglass finish and stainless fasteners permit direct exposure to sun, rain, heavy rain, fog, and snow. The IP55 rating supports installations with sustained humidity below 95% and typical coastal salt content limits.
Installation is simplified by the compact trapezoidal shape, multiple rigging points, and external mode selection switch for rapid configuration. The enclosure is constructed from 13-ply birch plywood with a fiberglass finish and black textured paint for long-term outdoor durability. These design choices reduce total system count while enabling precise coverage control during deployment.
