Description
The EVF-1152D/66-FGW is a fully weatherized two-way loudspeaker engineered for medium-throw, mid-far field sound reinforcement. It combines a 15 in low-frequency transducer and a 3 in titanium compression driver on a 60 x 60 rotatable constant-directivity waveguide. The enclosure is fiberglass coated on weather-resistant birch plywood to withstand direct outdoor exposure.
Key features include the DH7N 3 in titanium compression driver, the FEA-optimized DVX3151A 15 in woofer, and a rotatable 60 x 60 constant-directivity horn for controlled coverage. The passive crossover is 4th order 24 dB/oct with EQ and an acoustic crossover at 1,300 Hz, and the system provides a switchable bi-amp or passive operation mode. A dynamic protection circuit protects both LF and HF sections for long-term reliability.
Measured performance provides very linear response across the vocal band and extended bandwidth – nominal frequency range is 58 Hz to 21 kHz (-10 dB) with a half-space -3 dB response around 107 Hz to 18 kHz. Axial sensitivity is 100 dB (1 W/1 m) and maximum calculated SPL is 134 dB. Passive power handling is 600 W continuous and 2,400 W peak, while LF and HF drivers have dedicated power ratings and impedances for system planning.
Connectivity is provided via dual four-pin 10 AWG Phoenix/Euroblock screw-terminals and the panel accepts an optional CDG dual-gland-nut cover for weatherized installations. An externally accessible jumper selects passive or active operation and a 70.7/100 V transformer kit can be mounted on the input panel for distributed systems. The input panel handles heavy-gauge wiring and offers field flexibility for different installation types.
This trapezoidal loudspeaker is designed for both vertical and horizontal flown or ground-stacked arrays and integrates with other EVF and EVH series enclosures. Typical applications include exposed outdoor venues, permanent fixed installations, and systems requiring weather-resistant loudspeakers that can be arrayed for consistent coverage. The rotatable horn and multiple horn patterns available across the series simplify system design and coverage matching.
Installation and build quality focus on durability and serviceability – the enclosure uses 13-ply birch plywood with a fiberglass finish, 18 GA stainless steel grille backed with acoustic foam, stainless steel fasteners, and 22 M10 threaded suspension points. The cabinet meets IEC 60529 IP55 environmental protection and tolerates high humidity and normal salt air exposure. The external operation switch and optional flying hardware simplify commissioning and long-term maintenance.
