Description
The EVF-1152D/94-BLK is a compact two-way point-source loudspeaker designed to deliver controlled medium-field coverage and high intelligibility at elevated SPL. It combines a 15 in low-frequency transducer and a 3 in titanium compression driver on a rotatable 90 x 40 waveguide to provide selectable dispersion. The enclosure is weather-resistant and finished in EVCoat black to protect against environmental exposure.
Key features include a DVX3151A 15 in FEA-optimized woofer and a DH7N 3 in titanium compression driver with a 1.4 in throat. The system uses a Constant Directivity rotatable waveguide and a 4th order 24 dB/octave crossover with integrated equalization and HF protection. An externally accessible jumper allows quick selection of passive or bi-amp operation.
Performance covers a very linear frequency response across the vocal range with published responses near 49 Hz to 21 kHz and a -3 dB response specification in the midrange. The acoustic crossover is specified at 1300 Hz and the system handles continuous/program/peak power of 600 / 1200 / 2400 W. Sensitivity is 100 dB 1 W/1 m and calculated maximum SPL at 1 m is 134 dB.
Connectivity is provided via a Euroblock phoenix-style input panel capable of accepting up to 10 AWG, with optional dual NL4 gland-nut covers for weatherized installations. The input panel supports fitting a 70.7/100 V transformer kit for distributed systems. The external operation-mode switch and rugged input options simplify integration into fixed installs.
The enclosure uses 13-ply weather-resistant birch plywood and includes 22 M10 threaded suspension points for suspension or flown arrays; one EBK-M10-EVI kit of four forged eyebolts is included. The grille options include galvanneal or stainless steel finishes with hydrophobic cloth on PI and FG versions to suit indoor or weatherized environments. The cabinet form and rigging allow vertical and horizontal array configurations with other EVF/EVH series loudspeakers.
Built for installed sound environments, the EVF-1152D/94-BLK balances durability and acoustic control to reduce system count while delivering high output and clarity. The dynamic protection circuitry safeguards both driver sections against thermal overload for long-term reliability. This design minimizes onsite tuning while offering flexible deployment options and robust protection from the elements.
