Description
The EVF-1152D/94 is a compact two-way point-source loudspeaker designed to deliver clear, intelligible sound in medium-throw installations. It combines a 15in low-frequency transducer and a 3in titanium compression driver coupled to a rotatable 90 x 40 constant-directivity waveguide. The enclosure is weather-treated and finished in white EVCoat for extended durability in fixed-install environments.
This loudspeaker features a 15in DVX3151A woofer optimized by FEA for low distortion and high efficiency, plus the DH7N 3in titanium compression driver with a 1.4in throat. The integrated passive crossover uses steep 24 dB/octave slopes and an acoustic crossover at 1300 Hz, plus an independent dynamic protection circuit for thermal protection. The horn is rotatable to allow either vertical or horizontal arraying and precise coverage alignment.
Performance is tuned for speech and program material with a published frequency response down to the high 40s and up to 21 kHz, a sensitivity of 100 dB, and a calculated maximum SPL of 134 dB. Continuous/program/peak power handling is specified as 600 / 1200 / 2400 watts, and the passive crossover point is 1300 Hz. Nominal impedance for passive operation is 8 ohms and the recommended high-pass frequency is 45 Hz.
Connectivity is provided via a Euroblock input panel with the option for dual NL4-style gland-nut covers for weatherized installations. An externally accessible jumper selects passive or active operation, and a transformer kit is available for 70.7/100 V distributed systems. The input panel accepts heavy-gauge cable termination to simplify permanent installs.
The EVF-1152D/94 is suitable for a wide range of fixed-install applications including houses of worship, corporate auditoriums, theaters, and outdoor covered venues where controlled directivity and high output are required. Its rotatable 90 x 40 coverage pattern and arrayable trapezoidal enclosure enable scalable system design and precise audience coverage. Optional flying hardware and multiple horn patterns across the EVF/EVH family reduce the number of distinct part numbers needed for a project.
Installation and serviceability are straightforward – the enclosure uses 13-ply weather-resistant birch and includes multiple M10 suspension points for flexible rigging. Grilles and fasteners are corrosion-resistant for long life in challenging environments and an external mode switch simplifies on-site configuration. The EVF-1152D/94 balances durable construction with acoustic performance to deliver reliable operation in pro audio installations.
