Description
The EVF-1152D/99-FGB is a weatherized two-way point-source loudspeaker designed to deliver clear vocal intelligibility and high SPL in exposed outdoor and indoor installations. It pairs a high-output compression driver with an FEA-optimized low-frequency transducer and a rotatable constant-directivity horn to provide predictable coverage. The trapezoidal fiberglass-coated enclosure and stainless steel grille provide long-term protection against sun, rain, fog and snow.
Key features include a 3 in titanium compression driver coupled to a rotatable 90 x 90 constant-directivity horn and a 15 in FEA-optimized woofer for extended low-frequency output. The internal passive crossover is set at 1,300 Hz and uses steep 24 dB/octave slopes with protection circuitry to minimize distortion and protect the transducers. The cabinet supports switchable bi-amp or passive operation and an externally accessible jumper for quick mode selection.
Performance specifications include a very linear response across the vocal band and extended bandwidth to 21 kHz, sensitivity around 97 dB 1 W/1 m, and calculated maximum SPL near 131 dB. The system continuous power handling is rated at 600 W with 2,400 W peak capability and an internal dynamic protection circuit for both driver and woofer. Coverage is nominally 90 x 90 degrees and the recommended high-pass frequency is 65 Hz to protect low-frequency excursion at high levels.
Connectivity is handled via a Phoenix-style input panel that accepts up to 10 AWG, and the unit ships with a CDG dual-gland-nut input panel cover for weatherized installations. An optional 70.7/100 V transformer kit can be mounted to the input panel for use in distributed systems. The enclosure includes multiple M10 threaded suspension points enabling flown arrays or pole mounts with compatible hardware.
Typical applications include outdoor PA zones, fixed-install venues exposed to the elements, and near-field/far-throw point-source arrays where controlled coverage is required. The rotatable horn and arrayable trapezoidal shape allow horizontal or vertical arrays using other EVF/EVH series cabinets to shape coverage. The rugged finishes and stainless steel hardware minimize maintenance in marine or coastal environments.
Installation and operation emphasize speed and reliability – the external operation mode switch and weatherproof input options simplify deployment in harsh conditions. The 13-ply birch cabinet with fiberglass coating and powder-coated stainless-steel grille provide mechanical strength and long service life. Overall, the EVF-1152D/99-FGB delivers consistent, protected sound reinforcement where durable weatherized performance and clear speech reproduction are priorities.
