Description
The EVF-1152D/99-FGW is a weatherized two-way loudspeaker designed for outdoor and exposed fixed-install environments. It combines a 15 inch low-frequency transducer and a 3 inch titanium compression driver on a rotatable 90 x 90 constant-directivity waveguide. The enclosure is fiberglass-coated over weather-resistant birch for long-term protection against the elements.
Key features include a rotatable 90 x 90 waveguide, a high-output DH7N titanium compression driver, and an FEA-optimized 15 inch woofer for low distortion and high efficiency. The internal crossover is a steep 4th-order 24 dB/octave design with equalization for smooth vocal range response and an acoustic crossover at 1,300 Hz. A dynamic protection circuit provides independent thermal protection for both drivers to improve reliability under sustained high SPL conditions.
Performance metrics include very linear response extending across the mid and high bands and robust low-frequency output for substantial SPL capability. Sensitivity is rated at 97 dB (1 W/1 m) and calculated maximum sustained SPL reaches approximately 131 dB at 1 m. Nominal impedance is 8 ohms and continuous power handling is rated at 600 W with a 2,400 W peak capability.
Connectivity and configuration are flexible through a dual four-pin 10 AWG Phoenix/Euroblock input panel with a CDG dual-gland-nut cover included for weatherized installations. An externally accessible jumper allows quick selection between passive and bi-amp (active) operation. A transformer kit for 70.7/100 V distributed systems can be mounted to the input panel when required.
This model supports both horizontal and vertical arraying using compatible EVF and EVH series enclosures, enabling scalable coverage patterns and system designs. The rotatable horn and multiple horn pattern options enable controlled directivity and predictable off-axis behavior for speech and music reinforcement. It is suitable for venues that demand exposure-rated loudspeakers such as arenas, plazas, and permanent outdoor installations.
Installation is simplified by a compact trapezoidal enclosure, 22 M10 threaded suspension points, optional flying hardware, and a protective stainless steel grille backed with acoustic foam. The enclosure meets ANSI/IEC 60529 IP55 environmental rating, resists direct exposure to sun rain fog and snow, and is finished in white textured paint for discreet integration. These construction details deliver long-term reliability and straightforward deployment in demanding environments.
