Description
The EVF-2151D is a dual 15 inch front-loaded subwoofer designed to deliver controlled low-frequency reinforcement in fixed-install environments. It combines two DVX3159A 15 inch drivers optimized by FEA for motor and suspension performance to minimize distortion at high output levels. The enclosure uses weather-resistant birch plywood and an EVCoat finish to protect against environmental exposure.
Key features include dual 15 inch woofers, high continuous power handling, and a linear low-frequency response that supports tight bass reproduction. The cabinet layout is trapezoidal for flexible stacking and clustering in both vertical and horizontal arrays. The input panel supports a Phoenix-style connector and optional gland-nut or NL4 covers for weatherized applications.
Performance specifications include a -3 dB bandwidth around 40 Hz to 2.6 kHz and a calculated maximum SPL of 137 dB at 1 m. System power handling is specified as 1000 W continuous, 2000 W program, and 4000 W peak. Nominal impedance is 4 ohms and the recommended high-pass frequency is 35 Hz to protect drivers and downstream electronics.
Connectivity and system integration options are built for professionals – the external jumper allows selection of passive or active operation and the input panel accommodates up to 10 AWG via a Phoenix connector. An optional 70.7/100 V transformer kit is available for distributed installations. Standard and weatherized grille and input variants provide IP44 or IP55 protection levels depending on configuration.
The EVF-2151D is suited to installed sound reinforcement, nightclub low-frequency extension, and outdoor events when ordered in weatherized versions. It integrates with other EVF and EVH series enclosures in flown or ground-stacked arrays and supports combination clusters for scalable low-frequency coverage. Its high power handling and robust SPL capability make it appropriate for venues that require impactful bass with controlled distortion.
Installation is simplified by multiple M10 suspension points and reinforced internal rigging hardware. The cabinet is constructed from 18mm 13-ply birch and finished in white textured paint for aesthetic consistency in installed environments. Service access to the input panel and clearly labeled rigging points reduce on-site configuration time and streamline maintenance.
