This unit provides fast automatic level control with an exceptional 30 dB control range. The compressor accepts nominal mic level signals from -60 to -30 dBu and supports up to 0 dBu maximum input at minimum gain. Frequency response is 50 Hz to 20 kHz within plus or minus 0.5 dB, and THD+N is below 0.5 percent at compressor threshold. Output is adjustable from -55 dBu to -30 dBu, with a normal setting of -45 dBu, and balanced output impedance is 150 ohms nominal.
XLR input and output connectors support simple integration into professional microphone signal chains. The unit works with both dynamic and condenser microphones, and it automatically switches 24 V phantom power when phantom is detected at the module output.
