Description
The FC-101Net is a compact 2-channel Dante decoder designed to convert Dante audio streams to balanced analog outputs. It accepts Power over Ethernet (PoE) and provides two balanced mono outputs on a 5-pin terminal block. The unit includes local output volume control and supports Dante IP control.
Key features include two Dante channels on an RJ-45 connector, balanced mono audio outputs, PoE powering at 48V, and RS-232 control compatibility with Kramer Protocol 3000. The device supports integration into Dante IP control matrices and provides fixed low-power consumption of 100mA. Its Pico TOOLS size allows discreet placement or multi-unit rack mounting using an optional adapter.
Technically the FC-101Net draws 48V DC via PoE and consumes approximately 100mA. The enclosure is aluminum with convection ventilation for passive cooling and reliable operation. Operating temperature range is 0 to 40 C and storage range is -40 to 70 C, with humidity tolerance from 10% to 90% RHL non-condensing.
Connectivity is simple: a single RJ-45 Dante port for network audio input and a 5-pin terminal block providing one balanced stereo or two mono outputs. Control options include Dante IP control matrix commands and Kramer Protocol 3000 over RS-232, enabling centralized volume and routing management. The outputs are compatible with amplifiers and powered speakers using balanced analog connections.
The FC-101Net is ideal for distributed audio systems, meeting rooms, houses of worship, retail audio zones, and lightweight AV racks where Dante networks are used. It converts networked Dante channels to analog speaker-level or line-level devices while maintaining networked control and monitoring. The compact footprint makes it practical for tight equipment enclosures or behind equipment racks.
Installation is straightforward with the included bracket set and double-sided adhesive dual lock tape, and optional RK-4PT rack adapter allows mounting four units side-by-side in 1U. The aluminum Pico TOOL enclosure provides durable construction and passive cooling for quiet operation. Overall the FC-101Net delivers a compact, networked Dante decoding solution with integrated control and easy deployment options.
