Description
The FC-102Net is a compact 2-channel Dante audio encoder designed to bring analog sources onto a Dante network. It accepts line-level and microphone-level signals and supplies 48V phantom power per input for condenser microphones. The unit is powered over Ethernet and fits into small-system installations where networked audio is required.
The device provides two balanced mono inputs on 3-pin terminal blocks and streams two Dante channels over a single RJ-45 network connection. It includes output volume control to manage send levels without changing the source. Control is available via the Dante IP control matrix and Kramer Protocol 3000 through RS-232 for direct system integration.
Internally the FC-102Net uses a 32-bit advanced digital analog converter architecture to preserve dynamic range and reduce sensitivity to clock jitter. Sampling rates are selectable up to 96 kHz to match professional audio workflows. The converter maintains the integrity of the original audio signal for network distribution and recording.
Connectivity is streamlined for easy deployment – a single twisted-pair Ethernet cable provides both data and power when connected to a standard PoE switch. Inputs use 3-pin balanced terminal blocks and outputs are carried as Dante channels over an RJ-45. The PicoTOOLS fan-less enclosure supports device-back mounting or side-by-side placement of four units in 1U rack space using the recommended adapter.
Typical applications include classrooms, retail audio systems, small to mid-size meeting rooms and boardrooms where simple analog-to-network audio conversion is needed. The FC-102Net is suited to capture microphones, mixers or playback devices for distribution over Dante networks. Its compact size and PoE power option make it practical for distributed and ceiling-mounted installations.
Installation is straightforward and non-intrusive – connect analog sources, plug in the network cable and configure Dante routing and device control.
