Description
The FP-DCC1 is a compact DC-DC converter designed to generate regulated 24 Vdc from a 12 Vdc ground-referenced source. It supplies ground-referenced 24 V outputs suitable for many RDL audio and video modules. The unit is engineered for mobile and battery-backed systems where stable 24 Vdc is required.
The unit provides two regulated 24 V outputs: a high-current output capable of 400 mA and a heavily filtered low-noise output rated at 50 mA. Both outputs may be used simultaneously while the combined load of the high-current outputs remains limited to 400 mA. The low-noise filtered output is intended for microphone-level high-gain preamplifier modules.
The FP-DCC1 includes input overvoltage protection that disables internal circuitry if input voltage exceeds 15 Vdc and illuminates the INPUT OVERVOLTAGE LED. Input and output protection includes fusing and protection against reverse voltage and excessive currents. The device is not intended to power floating or bipolar modules.
Connectivity includes a detachable terminal block and a DC power jack for the high-current 24 V output and a detachable terminal block for the filtered low-noise 24 V output. Input power is ground-referenced and connects via detachable terminal block. The package retains a compact footprint and all-metal construction for chassis grounding and durability.
Typical applications include powering RDL ST-PA-series audio power amplifiers, microphone preamplifiers, and multiple ground-referenced RDL modules when 24 Vdc is required but only a 12 Vdc source is available. It is well suited to mobile, vehicle, and backup-battery installations where regulated 24 V is needed. The unit is not recommended for floating module power.
Installation is straightforward using the detachable terminal block or DC jack and requires a ground-referenced 11-14 Vdc supply capable of providing up to 1 A. The FP-DCC1 incorporates automotive blade fuses for input and output protection and ships in a compact cardboard box for easy deployment. The metal chassis and compact FLAT-PAK form factor simplify rack or enclosure mounting and long-term reliability.
