The FP-MX4 is a compact 4-channel audio mixing module designed to accept four identical mic or line-level sources. It provides front-end mixing controls and fixed balanced outputs for both line and microphone levels. The unit is engineered for installations that require stable set-and-forget level control combined with occasional field adjustments.
Each input can be switched between mic and line operation and the module offers switch-selectable 24 V phantom power for condenser microphones. Three mic gain ranges allow the installer to match a wide range of microphone sensitivities. The mixer section uses four individual mixing potentiometers for level trimming and a dual-LED VU meter presents the combined output level for visual monitoring.
Technical performance emphasizes low-noise studio-quality operation and precise frequency response. Microphone inputs are 2 kohm balanced and the line inputs are 10 kohm balanced and may be wired unbalanced. The FP-MX4 delivers a balanced line output at +4 dBu and a balanced mic output at -45 dBu while maintaining very low THD+N across operating ranges.
Connectivity is straightforward with four combined mic/line inputs and two balanced outputs provided on standard audio connectors. Both the balanced line and balanced mic outputs can be used simultaneously to feed separate downstream equipment. Power is via a 24 Vdc ground-referenced supply drawing 160 mA.
The FP-MX4 is suitable for small broadcast booths, conferencing systems, and fixed-install audio racks where multiple mic or line sources must be combined. It can serve as a feed-in mixer for recorders, consoles, or distributed audio systems while preserving microphone phantom power and gain control. The fixed potentiometers and clear VU metering simplify setup and help maintain consistent levels during operation.
