Description
The FP-NML2VP is a Dante network audio interface that converts two network channels to professional mic or line level outputs. It provides balanced, detachable outputs and per-channel control for precise level management. The unit is intended for integration into commercial audio installations where Dante network audio must feed standard mic or line inputs.
This interface converts two Dante channels to +4 dBu balanced line outputs at -18 dBFS and includes recessed switches to select mic or line operation on each output. Each channel features an independent VCA with 0 to 10 V control for remote level adjustment. The outputs provide more than 18 dB of headroom and mute automatically when digital inputs are inactive.
Performance specifications include 24-bit conversion, support for 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz sample rates, frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz (± 0.5 dB) and THD+N below 0.1%. Noise is better than -80 dB below +4 dBu when outputs are active and better than -95 dB when outputs are muted. Crosstalk is below the noise floor across the audio band, ensuring clean channel separation.
Connectivity is provided via an RJ45 network connector with Link and Speed indicators for Dante audio transport at 100 Mbps. Outputs use a balanced detachable terminal block for direct connection to amplifiers and mixers. Power options include PoE Class 0 IEEE 802.3af or an external 24 Vdc supply, and the FP-NML2VP supports seamless switchover between external power and PoE.
Typical applications include adapting legacy amplifiers and distributed sound systems to Dante networks, feeding separate amplifier channels, and providing mic-level feeds for paging or zone inputs. The recessed mic/line switch and balanced outputs make it suitable for interfacing with mixer-amplifiers and commercial audio processors. The independent VCA controls enable remote attenuation for zoning or level balancing across multiple outputs.
The FP-NML2VP is housed in an all-metal enclosure suitable for rack, shelf or surface mounting and built for continuous duty in commercial environments. Front panel LEDs indicate Ethernet link, speed and sync status for quick diagnostics. Installation is straightforward with standard network wiring and detachable terminal block wiring for outputs and optional shared 24 Vdc power connections.
