Download Manual The AJA Hi5-4K-Plus is a compact SDI to HDMI video converter designed to bridge professional SDI sources and modern HDMI 2.0 displays. It accepts Quad 3G-SDI, Quad 1.5G-SDI, Dual 3G-SDI or single SDI inputs and outputs a single HDMI 2.0 signal. The unit preserves image fidelity while providing High Frame Rate support up to 60p for 4K/UltraHD workflows.

Technically the Hi5-4K-Plus handles a wide range of raster sizes and frame rates including 4096×2160 and 3840×2160 up to 60p in HFR 4:2:0 mode, and a full set of 2K, HD and SD formats. Video input mapping supports Two Sample Interleave (2SI) and Square Division (Quadrant) source mapping. The HDMI output provides HDR Infoframe generation as defined in CTA-861.3 and HDMI v2.0a for compatible displays.
Connectivity is straightforward with four 3G-SDI BNC inputs, USB configuration, and one HDMI Type A output for connection to HDMI 2.0 displays. The unit ships with a universal 5-20VDC power supply and supports international AC input. A locking power connector and optional P-TAP battery cable make on-location use practical.
Use cases include camera or production monitoring, rack-based monitoring feeds, and broadcast or postproduction previewing where professional SDI sources must be displayed on HDMI 2.0 panels. The Hi5-4K-Plus supports HDR pipelines and HFR monitoring, enabling accurate evaluation of color and motion for 4K/UltraHD projects. Installation is simple and configuration is handled via the supplied MiniConfig software over USB. The unit uses convection cooling and consumes approximately 12 watts, so allow ventilation space when mounting.
