The AJA HI5-FIBER-R2 converts 3G-SDI transported over singlemode 1310 nm fiber with an ST connector into a standard HDMI signal suitable for HDMI monitors and displays. This compact converter accepts SMPTE-259/292/424 SDI inputs over fiber and provides an HDMI output with embedded audio. The unit is designed for field and studio use where long distance fiber transport must terminate to HDMI monitoring infrastructure.
Key features include support for 3G/HD/SD-SDI over singlemode fiber, HDMI output with up to 8 channels of embedded audio, and a discrete 2-channel RCA audio output for monitoring. Connectivity includes a singlemode ST fiber input for SDI, a full-size HDMI output for display connectivity, and RCA analog outputs for monitoring. Power is supplied by the included universal power adapter rated 100-240V AC and the converter uses a regulated +5V DC 3 W supply internally.
