Description
The Solidcom M1 Pro is a full-duplex wireless intercom system designed to provide clear team communication in small- to mid-sized live production environments. It supports four beltpacks out of the box and can be expanded to eight users using additional systems. The system operates on the 1.9 GHz band to minimize interference and maintain stable links in populated RF environments.
Key features include full-duplex transmission, dual-microphone environmental noise cancellation, and an auto-frequency-hopping engine that selects clean channels automatically. Each beltpack ships paired and includes a professional single-ear LEMO headset for talk and monitor duties. The base station supports internal and detachable external antennas to extend coverage and provide 360 degree transmission when needed.
Performance metrics include a 1.72 MHz RF bandwidth, GFSK modulation, approximate sensitivity of -93 dBm, and a wide audio frequency response of 200 Hz to 7 kHz sampled at up to 16 kHz. Each beltpack runs on two removable Li-ion cells that offer about six hours per battery and recharge in roughly 2.5 hours. The base station includes a dual NP-F plate and PoE power option for uninterrupted operation.
Connectivity is comprehensive for intercom workflows – the base station provides 2-wire XLR and 4-wire RJ45 interfaces, PoE/LAN power, cascade interfaces for linking multiple base units, and both internal and detachable external antenna options. Beltpacks offer a 3.5 mm headset jack and LEMO connector compatibility for third-party or supplied headsets. System setup and grouping are available via a mobile app or private web page.
Typical applications include concerts, houses of worship, corporate events, exhibitions, and broadcast assist where clear crew communication is required. The Solidcom M1 Pro suits camera teams, lighting crews, stage managers, and PA operations that need simultaneous talk/listen capability and reliable range. Cascade linking allows larger deployments and supports up to 24 beltpacks when two base stations are connected.
Installation and day-to-day use are straightforward – beltpacks arrive factory paired and can be re-paired via USB if redistributed across areas. The beltpacks feature a matte finish, ergonomic controls, an HD LCD for status, and physical button shapes to reduce accidental presses in low light. Robust battery charging and PoE power on the base station make the system practical for long event days and repeated deployments.
