Description
The Vcore Wireless Video Transmission System provides wireless 4K30 monitoring and streaming for camera-based productions. It mounts to a camera and transmits live video to mobile devices or compatible Pyro receivers for remote monitoring and collaboration. The unit combines HDMI and USB-C input support with an internal battery and on-board SD recording to simplify field workflows.
Vcore supports simultaneous monitoring across multiple devices – up to four phones or tablets via the HollyView app and additional Pyro receivers when required. The transmitter uses the 5 GHz band to deliver transmissions up to 350 ft line-of-sight with low latency of approximately 65 ms, and supports H.264 proxy recording plus ProRes capture when bridged to iOS devices. The system also provides embedded timecode detection and proxy file linking to streamline editorial workflows.
Video formats include UHD 4K at 30 fps and a broad range of HD frame rates up to 1080p60 and 720p60. Onboard SD recording captures 1080p60 H.264 MP4 proxy files with embedded timecode for reliable backup and fast import into NLEs. RF performance is engineered for field use, with a 20 MHz channel bandwidth and an RF power rating of 21.5 dBm for extended range.
Connectivity options include an HDMI 1.4b camera input and a USB-C output for connecting directly to smartphones or tablets. The HollyView mobile app is available for Android and iOS for monitoring, recording, tagging, and instant sharing, while HollyLink integrates with Capture One on macOS/Windows for tethered raw/JPG transfer. Vcore also supports Pyro series receivers for flexible multi-monitor topologies.
Typical applications include on-set director and crew monitoring, lightweight outdoor streaming via RTMP, and tethered image transfer for stills capture. The system is suited to documentary, run-and-gun, and small broadcast workflows where mobility and rapid setup are priorities. Synchronous mobile recording and embedded proxy files reduce post-production overhead and speed editorial decision-making on set.
Vcore installs quickly on a camera or rig using the included shoe mount or standard 1/4-20 accessory point and charges via USB-C from 5 to 13 VDC sources. The 5150 mAh internal battery supports extended mobile use and the unit offers firmware updates and diagnostics through the HollyView app. The compact metal housing is designed for field durability while keeping weight and footprint low.
