The HP82-EZ-WH is an 8in coaxial open-ceiling speaker engineered to deliver clear speech and music reproduction in open plenum and open-ceiling spaces. It combines a high-output 8.0in low-frequency driver and a 19mm silk dome high-frequency driver to cover a wide bandwidth. The speaker is weatherized for indoor and sheltered outdoor installations and is paintable to match room finishes.
Key features include BroadBeamHP Ring technology that improves high-frequency dispersion and an integrated 6-position tap selector with transformer bypass for 25V / 70.7V / 100V systems. The HP82-EZ includes a built-in hanging bracket and cover plate to enable secure hanging or direct-to-conduit mounting. The enclosure is made from glass-fiber reinforced injection molded ABS for durability in a range of environments.
Performance metrics show a frequency response of 100Hz to 22kHz (-3 dB at 110Hz) and sensitivity in the low 90s dB at 1 W / 1 m, delivering a maximum SPL of 110 dB at 1 m. Power handling is rated at 64W RMS continuous with 128W program capacity. Coverage is wide and consistent across low and mid frequencies to ensure even coverage in open-ceiling areas.
Connectivity is handled through a four-position ceramic terminal connector and an easy-access rotary tap switch that includes a transformer bypass position for low-impedance operation. The tap selector supports multiple distributed audio system voltages and allows integrators to select the appropriate tap quickly. The nominal impedance is 16 ohm when used in low-impedance mode.
