Description
The HT-DSCV3-RX is a USB 3.2 Gen 1×1 receiver designed to extend USB connectivity over HDBaseT networks. It delivers up to 5 Gbit/s data throughput while remaining backward compatible with USB 3.0, USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices. This receiver pairs with the HT-DSCV3-TX family to create a single-cable extension solution for remote devices.
Key features include support for USB 3.2 Gen 1×1, RS-232 pass-through and POH power capability. The unit supports transmission up to 90m over Cat6a or Cat7 cabling, enabling long-distance device placement without signal degradation. The design accommodates mixed-generation USB devices while preserving high-speed data channels.
Performance specifications include a sustained 5 Gbit/s maximum data rate and compatibility with legacy USB protocols. The receiver accepts a single RJ-45 HDBaseT input and provides multiple downstream USB ports. Power options include POH operation and an included 52V 65W power supply for local powering when required.
Connectivity is provided via one RJ-45 HDBaseT input, two USB 3.2 Type-A device ports, one USB 3.2 Type-C device port and a 3-pin Phoenix RS-232 connector for control. The unit supports RS-232 control pass-through for remote device management. Firmware and USB control channels are provided via a USB 2.0 Type-C service port.
The HT-DSCV3-RX is ideal for AV installations, corporate meeting rooms and control room applications that require remote USB peripherals or USB-C charging support. Typical use cases include remote camera control, KVM devices, interactive touch panels and device charging at the transmitter end. Its support for 90W PSE at the TX enables laptop charging in supported configurations.
Installation is straightforward with a compact footprint and included mounting hardware for secure placement. The unit ships with a 52V 65W power supply and simple cabling requirements using standard Cat6a/7 cable. Built to Hall Technologies warranty terms, the receiver is backed by a manufacturer repair or replacement policy for covered defects.
