Description
The HT-DSCV3-TX-WP is a wall plate transmitter designed to extend USB 3.2 Gen 1×1 signals over HDBaseT technology. It provides a compact single-gang wall plate form factor that connects a USB-C host and relays USB data to a remote receiver via Cat cabling. The unit supports high-speed USB data transmission and simplifies installations where host connectivity must be relocated.
Key features include USB 3.2 Gen 1×1 support with up to 5 Gbit/s throughput and full backward compatibility with USB 3.0, USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices. The transmitter supports Power over HDBaseT (PoH) so power can be supplied from either TX or RX, reducing the need for a local supply in many installations. It also offers RS-232 pass-through for control signaling between source and display locations.
Technically the transmitter provides a USB-C host interface and extends USB over HDBaseT up to 90 meters using Cat6a or Cat7 cabling. The device supports a single USB-C host connection and is engineered to maintain USB protocol integrity at 5 Gbit/s. When used with the optional PSE, the module can deliver up to 90W charging power to a connected host device via USB-C.
Connectivity includes a USB-C host port, HDBaseT output for the RX link, a 4-pin phoenix connector for 12V local power, and RS-232 pass-through. The LINK LED indicates a proper connection to the receiver and a reset pin allows factory reset via a 3 second push. The transmitter pairs with the HT-DSCV3-RX family including RX, RX-WP and RX-V2 receivers for full system compatibility.
Typical applications include corporate AV installations where host PCs must be accessed remotely, education facilities requiring centralized computing with remote workstations, and medical or lab environments that demand clean wall plate integration and remote device control. The unit supports setups where video can be routed by compatible RX models to dual HDMI outputs while the USB and control signals remain extended over a single Cat run.
Installation is straightforward with a single-gang plate form factor and supplied mounting hardware for standard wall boxes. The device is designed for professional AV and IT installations and supports PoH so a local power supply is not required in most single-link deployments. Hall Technologies backs the product with its stated warranty terms and recommends factory reset only when needed to restore default settings.
