Description
The AJA Io Xpand (IO-XPAND-3) is a Thunderbolt 5 PCIe expansion chassis bundled with an AJA KONA 4 I/O card to add professional video I/O to modern laptops and small-form-factor systems.
Io Xpand provides a single full-height half-length PCIe slot (8-lane mechanical / 4-lane electrical) and up to 6000 MB/s bi-directional bandwidth over Thunderbolt 5, enabling KONA and Corvid PCIe cards to operate with desktop-class connectivity on macOS, Windows, and Linux systems.
The enclosure features a temperature-controlled fan for quiet operation, a 6-pin auxiliary power connector for cards requiring supplemental power, two Thunderbolt ports for daisy-chaining, and includes a Thunderbolt 5 cable and securing bracket.
