The AJA IO-XPAND-4 is a Thunderbolt 5 PCIe expansion chassis that connects a full-height, half-length PCIe card to Mac Windows and Linux systems over Thunderbolt or USB4. It brings professional PCIe I/O to compact laptops and small-form-factor workstations.
IO-XPAND-4 offers an 8-lane mechanical x4 electrical PCIe 4.0 slot and up to 6000 MB/s bi-directional Thunderbolt 5 bandwidth to the installed card. It supports single- or double-width cards and cards with daughter boards while providing a 6-pin auxiliary power option for cards that need supplemental power.
The lightweight aluminum enclosure provides quiet temperature-controlled cooling and includes a Thunderbolt 5 cable and securing bracket; this bundle includes an AJA KONA 1 PCIe I/O card for immediate HD I/O capability.
