The IPD-CI62 is a 6.5 in IP-addressable in-ceiling speaker designed to deliver networked audio with precise coverage and consistent timbre. It supports Dante and AES67 audio-over-IP protocols to integrate into modern AV networks. The speaker combines a coaxial driver set and a sealed backcan to maintain clear midrange and extended low-frequency response.
Key features include a 6.5 in polypropylene woofer with a butyl rubber surround and a 1 in silk dome tweeter using BroadBeam Ring technology for improved HF dispersion. The sealed drawn steel backcan includes a tuned port to extend bass response in a compact enclosure. A magnetic white grille provides a clean, low-profile aesthetic and is paintable to match ceiling finishes.
Acoustic performance covers a usable frequency range of 67 Hz to 20 kHz at -3 dB and extends to 56 Hz to 22 kHz at -10 dB, with a 5.0 kHz crossover and measured directivity factors and indexes suitable for even coverage. The speaker exhibits a 180 degree coverage angle at 2 kHz and uses a 1 in low-frequency voice coil for reliable driver control. Power, audio, and control are delivered over a single CAT5 or CAT6 cable using PoE infrastructure, supporting up to 30W PoE operation and 40W when paired with the SoundTube STNet Switch II. The speaker uses an RJ45 Ethernet input and is compatible with standard PoE+ switches, while not supporting PoE++. Remote configuration and diagnostics are available through SoundTube management software for system monitoring.
