The IPD-HP82-EZ-WH is an 8 inch Dante-addressable coaxial pendant speaker designed to deliver clear, long-throw audio in distributed sound systems. It integrates a high-power coaxial driver and BroadBeamHP compression technology to maintain consistent directivity across its operating range. This unit is intended for venues requiring networked low-latency audio distribution.
The speaker supports digital audio, power, and control over standard category cable via Dante, enabling streamlined PoE or PoE+ deployment. It also accepts 24V DC barrel power for installations without PoE. Built-in BroadBeamHP compression driver technology provides smooth dispersion and improved intelligibility at distance.
Performance specifications include a frequency response of 110 Hz to 22 kHz at ±3 dB and a wider ±10 dB range from 80 Hz to 22 kHz. The unit achieves a maximum SPL of 104.0 dB at 1 meter and a total bi-amp power rating of 40 W. Directivity metrics are provided as Q = 5.0 (average 100 Hz – 10 kHz) and DI = 5.6 dB (average 100 Hz – 10 kHz).
Connectivity is via an RJ45 Ethernet connector for Dante audio and PoE power, and the speaker can be integrated with STNet-Switch or other PoE/PoE+ switches. Configuration and zoning are handled in software over the network. A 24V DC barrel connector is available as an alternate power input for non-PoE environments.
Typical applications include retail ceiling clusters, atrium and transit announcements, and indoor/outdoor covered locations where pendant mounting provides coverage and aesthetics. The pendant form factor and BroadBeamHP coverage pattern support even coverage for speech and background music applications. This speaker is suitable for systems requiring networked audio distribution and centralized control.
The enclosure is injection molded ABS with glassber reinforcement and an aluminum grille with a protective powder coat finish for durability. Installation hardware includes galvanized steel hanging cables and a locking cover plate for conduit mounting. The unit ships in recyclable packaging and is planned for UL 1480 UEAY, UL 2239 and EN54-24:2008 compliance.
