Connectivity is via an RJ45 Ethernet connector carrying Dante audio, power, and control over standard category cable. The speaker is compatible with SoundTube STNet-Switch or other industry standard PoE/PoE+ switches and reports status and faults using SoundTube configuration software. For non-PoE installations the unit accepts 24V DC input through a barrel connector.
The IPD-SM500i-II is suitable for background music, paging, and distributed audio in retail, hospitality, corporate, and education environments. Its BroadBeam waveguide and coaxial driver ensure consistent coverage across listening areas while minimizing the number of installed units.
